In an interview with Zoom, Shalini recalled her learning experience with Dhanush. She states, "It was a very good experience because he was also directing and an actor, so to see both different sides of that person. It's very interesting to also see a director and then be your co-actor and then also direct you. It's a learning experience, so I thoroughly enjoyed that whole process because it was also the first time I was working with an actor and my director. To navigate that, it was pretty interesting. Also, I learned a lot from him because he's such a good actor; he's a very fine artist. To just observe him, you get to learn a lot."

Shalini Pandey on her next Rahu Ketu

The actress also shared info on her upcoming comedy film Rahu Ketu, starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and Chunky Panday. She shared, "I finished this project with Pulkit and Varun, and it's a very interesting project. I'm actually very excited about it. It's called Rahu Ketu, and it's going to come out next year. I had a great time working on the project. I think it's also a very interesting subject to watch. It's comedy, but it's satire. It's a lot of things happening." While Rahu Ketu is expected to release in the new year, Idli Kadai is now streaming on Netflix. The Tamil film also stars Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, P. Samuthirakani, Nithya Menen, Rajkiran, and R. Parthiban.
