Shehbaz claims Sidharth's fans will vote for him!
Former Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill’s brother, Shehbaz Badesha, has once again landed in controversy, this time for taking the late Sidharth Shukla’s name in Bigg Boss 19. Known for his easygoing personality, Shehbaz’s recent comments have drawn the ire of fans who feel he’s trying to capitalise on Sidharth’s massive popularity. It all started during Diwali week, in the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode. In a casual chat with music composer Amaal Mallik, Shehbaz confidently said, “Mujhe Bigg Boss ke nomination me ane do, dekhte hain fir kya hota hai.” To this, Amaal replied, “Ayenge sab…” But it was Shehbaz’s next line that triggered an online uproar: “Sidharth ke fan baithe hain bahar mere saath. Jo winner hai na iss show ka, mere saath fan following baithi hai uski.”
'Sidhearts' angry over Shehbaz's comments
This remark was enough to ignite anger among Sidharth Shukla’s loyal fans, aka Sidhearts, who took to X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to slam Shehbaz for what they saw as disrespectful name-dropping. One user wrote, “Does he really believe that Sidharth Shukla fans are voting and supporting him? Gadha kahin ka!” Another commented, “Why is he taking legend Sidharth Shukla’s name? He’s not even 1% of him.”Another fan echoed, “We are here ONLY for Sid. Don’t use his name for your game.” A fourth user remarked, “He’s delusional if he thinks all Sidharth fans support him. Pehle voting mein hi Mridul Tiwari se haara tha.”As the backlash grows, it’s clear that Bigg Boss viewers are not forgiving Shehbaz’s attempt to align himself with one of the show’s most beloved winners. Many believe the move could hurt his credibility in the long run, proving that invoking a legend’s name doesn’t guarantee support, it invites scrutiny.
