Sesh has unveiled the trailer of his much-awaited film Dacoit boosting excitement among fans. Co-starring Mrunal Thakur, the film promises a gripping mix of action and thrill. With notable cast members like Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj, the film is helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Shaneil Deo and is set to hit screens on April 10.

The makers of Dacoit recently unveiled the film’s official trailer, offering audiences a glimpse into its intense world, which features intriguing visuals. Featuring Adivi Sesh in a powerful role, the trailer also shows glimpses that the characters are set for revenge, healing from old wounds. Originally scheduled for a March 19 release, Dacoit has now been postponed to April 10. The makers stated that the decision was taken to ensure that each film in theatres gets adequate space and attention. This move hints the team’s respect for other releases while also positioning Dacoit for a potentially stronger box office run. The film will release in multiple languages, having been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.Before the trailer, the makers also released a vibrant track titled Touch Buddy, known as Chichubuddi in Telugu. The song is sung by Pawan Singh and Jonita Gandhi. About Dacoit At its core, Dacoit tells the story of a man who is wrongfully imprisoned and returns with a burning desire for revenge. His target is the woman who betrayed him—an act that changed his life forever. However, the story goes beyond a straightforward revenge arc. As the protagonist confronts his past, he finds himself torn between vengeance and unexpected compassion. Protecting the very people he once wanted to destroy creates a layered narrative filled with emotional conflict, shifting loyalties, and confusion.

Dacoit's strong supporting cast

In addition to its lead pair, Dacoit features a strong supporting cast. Anurag Kashyap takes on the role of a cop, while Prakash Raj appears in a significant role.The film initially featured Shruti Haasan as the female lead opposite Adivi Sesh. However, she later exited the project, with Mrunal Thakur stepping in as her replacement. Adivi Sesh clarified that the decision was amicable, stemming from differences in working styles and scheduling challenges. With Shruti Haasan busy with other commitments, including Coolie, the team mutually decided to move forward without any controversy. Unlike the sleek, intelligence-driven plot of Goodachari and its sequel G2 (Goodachari 2), Dacoit leans into raw, instinctive action. Despite its intense emotional backdrop, Adivi Sesh describes it as a feel-good love story at its core.
