Following the debate and explosion of tweets, Rahul announced that he would be taking a break from X.
Rahul Ramakrishna’s Strong Criticism of Recent Films
In a series of posts on X, he said many films fail to justify the effort and expense required to watch them in cinemas. He pointed to rising ticket prices, fuel costs, traffic, parking issues, and expensive snacks, saying that films must offer something truly compelling to bring audiences back to theatres. Rahul also posted that modern cinema must provide a spectacle that cannot be replicated on mobile screens. He said filmmakers should rethink their approach and focus on creating experiences worth the audience’s time and money.
He further said that audiences today are more aware and capable of judging filmmaking quality, rejecting the idea that viewers can be easily misled by weak storytelling.
Rahul Ramakrishnan Opens Up About Sandeep Vanga Reddy's Views On Encounter
A user said that back then his friend Sandeep Vanga Reddy was vocal in praising the Chatanpalli encounter of Dalit boys, but today there is silence, questioning what happened to that “activist spirit” and suggesting that outrage appears only when convenient. Rahul replied by saying that friends can have different opinions. He added that his friend spoke his mind and he speaks his, and that neither of them needs to be bound by what he described as “moral hysteria.” He further said that they all exist in the same society and that the user could have argued better instead of relying on noisy hashtags, which he dismissed as “teeny angst.”
Following his posts, Rahul announced that he would be taking a break from X, saying, “Enough Twitter for this season. Goodbye all. Much love.”This is not the first time the actor has stepped away from the platform. In 2025, he previously faced controversy over posts related to Telangana infrastructure, later deleting them and briefly deactivating his account. He had then clarified that his remarks were driven by frustration and that he wished the best for the region and its people.
