For the latest global anthem, Shakira has teamed up with Nigeria's Burna Boy. This new song is Shakira's second official FIFA World Cup song. In 2010, she recorded the global hit Waka, Waka (This Time for Africa) for the tournament in South Africa.

On Instagram, Shakira unveiled the song that's going to be everywhere for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the US. She shared that the song came from Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The song will officially be out on May 14. The pop star wore a blue short skirt and yellow top as she walked out on the field with a football to kick off the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song Dai Dai with Burna Boy.
The lyrics of the song single out words like "belong" and "strong," hinting at the football players who have their eyes on the biggest trophy in the sport. The short clip also shows aerial footage of the stadium with the phrase “We are ready.” Indeed, the world is waiting for the tournament to begin so that fans can root and cheer for their favourite teams. According to Billboard, Dai Dai is a catchy reggaetón-tinged Afrobeats track.
