23 Years Of Trisha: When Actress Didn't Want To Make A Career In Films

But much before her entry in films Trisha started her career as a model, and even won Miss Chennai 1999. In 2001, she won the ‘Miss India’ pageant’s Beautiful Smile award. During her first appearances on television, she appeared for an interview with Yugi Sethu. When Yugi asks if he can see her on the big screen soon she says, “No no, not at all. Acting is not my cup of tea, I prefer modelling.” However, immediately after this, she made her debut into the film industry with Jodi, as actress Simran’s friend. She then went on to play the lead in Mounam Pesiyadhe opposite Suriya. 23 years on, Trisha has acted in almost 63 films across languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.

Trisha Krishnan's personal life is aways under the spotlight too., the ever-poised actress , tackled rumours about her personal life with in a smart way. The actress, who has been the subject of chatter claiming she is set to marry a Chandigarh-based businessman, took to Instagram to slam reports “I love when people plan my life for me. Just waiting for them to schedule the honeymoon too,” Trisha quipped.

In 2026, she will be seen in Karuppu, Vishwambhara and Ram.
