In an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, Manasi Joshi Roy joined the 8-hour shift debate, which is currently a burning topic in showbiz. The actress is completely in favour of the 8-hour shift rule in the entertainment industry. Apart from that, the Lakshmi Niwas actress opened up about her family’s support.
Manasi Joshi Roy Wants 8-Hour Shift Rule To Be Implemented
During a candid chat with us, when asked about the 8-hour shift debate in showbiz, Manasi Joshi Roy said, “Absolutely yes! I really feel the rule should be implemented. A 12-hour day is far too long, especially when you are doing a daily soap as one of the lead actors. I am literally going to work every day, and with 12 hours of work, plus a minimum of 2 hours of commute, the timing increases. That's far too long.”
“I think at a certain point, your creativity does fall. As actors, somewhere a little tiredness definitely comes in. You need to be up again next morning looking your best and giving your best. From an actor's perspective, the other cast and crew also do so much hard work. So, the 8-hour day would be wonderful,” the Lakshmi Niwas actress added.
Manasi Joshi Roy On Getting Support From Family
When asked about managing house and work, Manasi Joshi Roy stated, “Not at all. By God's grace, I have a lot of good support at home in the form of my staff, who are so good that I can literally walk away without worrying about the house. When I used to work earlier, when my daughter was younger, at that time my mother-in-law, mom and others took care of her. I always had great support from them. So balancing work and house was never an issue. Of course, I have a really supportive husband who is so chill.”
Manasi Joshi Roy further revealed that her husband, Rohit Roy, is a great pillar of support to her. She said, “My family is always very gung-ho about every piece of work I do. Especially my husband, who is my biggest cheerleader. Everyone is happy, and they all love to see me on the screen. They know how much I love to act.”
