Shefali Shah’s brave fictional cop, Vartika Chaturvedi, is back to solve another chilling case in the third season of Delhi Crime. The Netflix show received critical acclaim and also garnered a viewership
of 3.3 million on the first weekend. Vartika’s superpower, according to Shefali, is her authenticity. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Shah felt she could fit perfectly in Rohit Shetty’s larger-than-life cop universe.
Shefali Shah on joining Rohit Shetty's cop universe
When asked if Vartika could be a part of the spectacular world of Rohit’s copy universe, Shefali told us, “Why not? I think she's a superhero in her own league. Her superpower is that she's very authentic, raw and real. That's the question you need to ask Rohit Shetty (laughs).”

It would be so cool.” Talking about the possibility of Hathiram and Vartika’s crossover, Shefali added, “It goes way beyond Jaideep and me, so sadly, it cannot happen. It will never happen. But I love Jaideep as an actor, and we've done two films together, and I can't wait to collaborate with him on as many projects that come our way.”
Delhi Crime 3 review
Times Now’s in-house critic reviewed
Delhi Crime 3 and wrote, “Shefali Shah as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi once again proves why she’s one of the finest actors in Indian cinema. We’ve seen her character face setbacks before - even a transfer to the Northeast this time but Vartika’s spirit remains indomitable. This season, her screen time might feel slightly reduced, but she continues to command every frame she appears in. Her calm, composed demeanour and quiet intensity carry immense gravitas. Even in silence, Shefali's big eyes conveys power, empathy, and exhaustion - the essence of a real cop trying to hold on to her humanity. She leads with grit, strength, and emotional precision that anchors the entire series.”
Delhi Crime 3, also starring Huma Qureshi, Rasika Dugal, Sayani Gupta and Rajesh Tailang among others, is currently streaming on Netflix.
