news of Asha Bhosle's hospitalisation has left everyone concerned. Regarded as one of the finest singers in Indian cinema, the 92-year-old was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. It was initially reported that the legendary singer had suffered a cardiac arrest. However, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle clarified that the singer was hospitalised due to a chest infection and extreme exhaustion. Zanai further requested privacy and promised to share an update positively. Now, a media report suggests that Asha Bhosle's condition has improved.

A source close to Asha Bhosle informed that the veteran singer is 'better and recovering'. That said, an official update from the legendary singer's family and hospital authorities is awaited.
A while ago, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed that he is 'deeply concerned' to hear that Asha ji had been admitted to the hospital. He further prayed for her good health and speedy recovery.

Zanai shared an official statement regarding her grandmother's health. "My grandmother Asha Bhosle has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. We request that you respect our privacy. Treatment is ongoing, and we hope everything will be well. We will share a positive update soon," she wrote.

For the uninitiated, Asha Bhosle is the daughter of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar. Her sisters Lata Mangeshkar, Meena, Usha and brother Hridaynath have been integral part of the music industry. The veteran singer has three children from her first marriage to Ganpatrao Bhosle. Later, she got married to RD Burman in 1980. As for Zanai, she is the daughter of the singer's elder son, Anand Bhosle and his wife Anuja Bhosle. The 92-year-old's other two children are son Hemant and daughter Varsha, who died in 2012.
In her career spanning eight decades, the 92-year-old singer has crooned iconic songs like Dum Maro Dum, Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Yeh Mera Dil, Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko, and more. She also made her acting debut with Mai, a 2013 film directed by Mahesh Kodiyal. It also featured Ram Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure, and others.
