Aamir
Khan's son, Junaid Khan, is currently gearing up for the release of his movie, Ek Din. Co-starring Sai Pallavi, the romantic drama has been scheduled for a grand theatrical release on May 1. An interesting fact about this film is that Arijit Singh has worked on the music of Aamir Khan's production venture. The musician stayed committed to the project even after he decided to step back from playback singing. In a recent interview, Aamir reflected on working with Arijit and praised his hard work and dedication towards the project.

While discussing
Ek Din, Aamir told
The Hollywood Reporter India that he decided to meet Arijit in his hometown. The Bollywood actor and producer travelled to Jiaganj in West Bengal along with director Sunil Pandey and music composer Ram Sampath. Sunil and Ram accompanied Aamir so they could closely work on songs in a setting where Arijit felt comfortable.
Talking about Singh's passion for his craft, Aamir added that the musician is deeply involved and allows a song to evolve. "He works really hard. He really throws himself in," the actor mentioned.
How Arijit Singh approaches singing
Aamir further spoke about the way Arijit approaches his work. The actor revealed that the singer approaches singing as 'storytelling'. "With his singing, he is also telling a story — he is not just singing," shared Aamir. In the same conversation, Aamir was asked if he tried convincing Arijit to return to playback singing. Reacting to this, Aamir said he would not comment on the reasons behind the singer's decision. However, he hoped the singer would reconsider returning at some point.
In a message shared earlier, Arijit had said the decision to quit playback singing was something he had been considering for a while and that it was not taken suddenly.
