Over 1,000 Amazon employees have issued a public warning to the company’s top leadership including CEO Andy Jassy and the S-team, arguing that its rapid push into artificial intelligence risks causing serious harm to democracy, jobs and the environment. The open letter was organised by the activist group Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (AECJ). So far, more than 1,039 Amazon staff members and over 2,436 external supporters have signed the letter.
