The trailer of the magnum opus was unveiled today at an event held in Mumbai. The cast of the film was present at the launch. Raja Shivaji clashes with the Hollywood film The Devil Wears Prada 2 at the Indian and overseas markets on Maharashtra Day, 2026. Backing the solid core team are composers Ajay and Atul with their impactful music and a glimpse of that took over the internet in the past week. On social media, the star and director Riteish shared the first trailer of the historical film. His son is also playing a younger version of Shivaji. The action-filled promo has Abhishek, Sanjay, Vidya and Riteish's wife Genelia as Saibai, the wife of Chhatrapati Shivaji, shown in grand style. Raja Shivaji is following the Maratha warrior's life; Abhishek is playing the role of his elder brother. The actor-filmmaker has worked on the film for nearly 25 years.

Bigg Boss Marathi season 6 on Sunday, April 19. On stage, Deshmukh, who was also the host of the reality show, confirmed Salman Khan’s cameo in the Marathi film. However, he did not disclose more details about the role. Riteish said Salman will be seen in an important part in
Raja Shivaji. As per reports, he might play Jiva Mahala in the film.
