Mr India director is in awe of the rising Indian batter. He recently took to X and penned an appreciation post for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He shared his picture and wrote, “If sooryavanshi wasn’t such a sensational cricketer.. I could have cast him in Masoom the film z..” (sic)
Shekhar Kapur’s tweet is now going viral on social media and netizens can’t stop reacting to it. Some users didn’t like the director’s approach while others celebrated this moment. It has to be noted that Shekhar Kapur is making a spiritual sequel to his popular film,
Masoom (1983), called
Masoom 2. As per reports, he has roped in Manoj Bajpayee and Nithya Menen for the same. The official confirmation about the same is yet to be made by the makers.
Masoom was a critically acclaimed film in 1983. Naseeruddin Shah won the Best Actor award at the Filmfare Awards 1984. The film’s powerful storyline and music was appreciated by the critics and the masses.
