Rajpal Yadav On Changes After Becoming Popular As Chota Pandit
During a candid interaction with us, we asked Rajpal Yadav about his characters now becoming meme material for Gen-Z. He said, “The films which I did in the past 20 years have come on social media and OTT platforms. They have now become an income source for many kids of this generation. I have become a GenZ along with the current audience.” Apart from that, the actor got overwhelmed after his character ‘Chota Pandit’ got popular amongst the masses. When asked how Chota Pandit changed his life, the actor said that it is that one character that fits and doesn't fit in every situation and thing.
Rajpal Yadav explained, “Chota Pandit is a caricature of the society we live in. I believe in religion. I remember Charlie Chaplin had once said that if you can show the sadness of your life and make people happy, then it is the best thing. If you make other people sad, then it is bad. Chota Pandit is a miniature that fits and unfits in many things.”
While elaborating on how all age groups love Chota Pandit, the Bhooth Bangla star said, “Now, 10-year-old kids know me, and people above 70 are also giving me blessings. I think Chota Pandit has given me the audience for the next 70 years. I never thought that it would become so popular amongst the masses. Whenever I go somewhere, I can see 'Chota Pandit' paintings and miniatures.”
