Musk vs OpenAI trial is getting intense with each passing day. And now, the latest twist in the same if ChatGPT co-founder Greg Brockman's diary. Last week, Brockman sat in the Oakland federal courthouse and read it aloud to the jury, and more than 1200 strangers watched the same on a YouTube livestream. The OpenAI president and co-founder spent two days walking the court through pages he had typed only for himself. Brockman told the court that the entries are painful, but nothing in the journal made him ashamed. The document runs roughly 100 pages and consists of his decision to drop out of college, his stint as one of the first employees at Stripe, and the co-founding of OpenAI with Musk and Sam Altman in 2015. He stopped writing about OpenAI in 2023,
the same year when the board decided to throw him out alongside Sam Altman. Now, the most controversial line from the journal, as quoted by Musk's lead attorney Steven Molo, was penned down on August 21, 2017, saying, 'Ok, so what do I really want? This is the only chance we have to get out of Elon... Financially, what will it take me to be $1B?'Elon Musk VS Sam Altman: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella To Testify In OpenAI's Trial, Here's HowFor your information, Brockman has a $30 billion stake in OpenAI as of now. Molo also asked more than a dozen times why Brockman has not donated the extra $29 billion to the non-profit. Moreover, Brockman said 'cannot say that we are committed to the non-profit. If three months later we’re doing B-Corp, then it was a lie...the true answer is that we want him out.'And the diary also has a lot more there, which could create problems for Sam Altman. Apart from that, just a week ago, Mira Murati also gave statements that didn't exactly work in favour of OpenAI. All in all, we can say that the testimony of Satya Nadella is going to play a major role in the case for sure.
