Pitt's F1 is an American sports action drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, based on the motorsport of the same name, created in collaboration with the FIA, its governing body. The film also features Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Lewis Hamilton, Javier Bardem and Sarah Niles. F1 released in the theatres on June 27 and broke many box office records. Now, the film is all set to have a sequel and fans cannot keep calm. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer put an end to the ongoing speculations and confirmed the news during the annual Academy Awards luncheon in Los Angeles. This comes as the first official statement after the release of F1.
F1 To Have A Sequel?
For months, there’s been buzz about a potential sequel, but nothing was confirmed, not even during Apple TV’s press day last week. Finally, Jerry has confirmed the sequel saying, "We’re working on it," to BBC. He didn’t even confirm if Pitt would reprise his role. But he added that he would “of course" be involved in casting decisions.

F1, Pitt plays a former Formula One driver who returns to the grid with his colleague (Damson Idris) at APXGP, a fictitious team. The film stars Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Kosinski directs and produces the film alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner for Plan B Entertainment, and Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films banner.

The sports film had a record-breaking theatrical run, earning $629 million at the global box office. It spent 168 days in theatres and became Brad Pitt's highest-grossing feature to date. It was universally praised by critics and has a 97 per cent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
