RJ Balaji about narrating Karuppu to Thalapathy Vijay
In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, director RJ Balaji shared that Karuppu was initially planned as Vijay’s final film before his entry into politics. Although the project eventually went to Suriya, the filmmaker said his discussions with Vijay helped refine the script and make a few changes.
RJ Balaji further explained that Vijay had shown interest in the story during their early conversations and had requested time to confirm his role in it. However, due to his political commitments and decisions regarding his final film, the actor later stepped away from the film. The director went on to say that he respected Vijay’s decision and appreciated the time and attention he gave to the script discussions.
