The voting for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026 has begun today (January 15). The Mumbaikars have started coming out to cast their votes to elect a better candidate as a corporator
in their areas for the next five years. Like commoners, many Bollywood celebrities are also coming to the polling booths to cast their valuable votes for BMC polls 2026. Akshay Kumar, Sanya Malhotra, Hema Malini, Suniel Shetty, John Abraham, Junaid Khan, Kiran Rao, Ira Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rakesh Roshan, Zoya Akhtar, Gulzar and many B-town actors visited the voting centres to vote.
Celebs Cast Votes For BMC Elections 2026
Akshay Kumar was one of the first actors who visited the voting booth in the morning to cast his vote for the Mumbai civic polls. He was accompanied by his wife, Twinkle Khanna. Akshay appealed to all the citizens of Mumbai to come out and vote.
Dangal star Sanya Malhotra also cast her vote earlier this morning in Mumbai.
Hema Malini was spotted at a polling booth in Mumbai to cast her vote. For the unversed, Hema lost her husband, Dharmendra, in November 2025 due to illness.
Suniel Shetty went to Bandra’s voting centre to cast his vote for the BMC elections 2026. He asked people to go and vote. He also explained the importance of voting.
John Abraham visited Bandra’s centre to vote for the Mumbai civic polls.
Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao, son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan also visited the polling booth in Bandra to vote in the BMC polls 2026.
Tamannaah Bhatia also cast her vote for the elections in Mumbai.
Apart from these celebs, Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali, Rakesh Roshan, Zoya Akhtar and others fulfilled their duties as citizens of Mumbai.
