Vishal Turns Secret Agent Husband In Sundar C's Purushan With Tamannaah

Director Sundar C has officially reunited with Vishal and Tamannaah for his next film, titled Purushan. The announcement was made through a first-look teaser that quickly gained traction across social

media platforms. Staying true to Sundar C’s trademark style, the film appears to blend of humour, emotion, and commercial action sequences. Vishal takes the lead role, while Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi returns to compose the music. Tamannaah stars as Vishal’s wife, with Yogi Babu playing a key supporting character.

Vishal's Purushan: First Teaser Of Sundar C's Film Promises Action and Fun

Titled Purushan, the film’s teaser offers a glimpse into a light-hearted yet action-packed entertainer. Vishal is introduced as a submissive and soft-spoken husband to Tamannaah’s character. Yogi Babu plays a well-known television actor who visits their home and delivers his popular line, “It isn’t enough to be a husband, you have to be the husband of the year.” Initially, he sympathizes with Tamannaah for having such a timid spouse.

However, the narrative takes an interesting turn when a group of criminals enter the house and attack Vishal in the kitchen, completely unnoticed by his wife. While Tamannaah assumes her husband is busy preparing tea, Yogi Babu witnesses Vishal’s transformation as he single-handedly beats goons. This contrast between Vishal’s public personality and hidden ability to become violent sets the tone for the right Sundar C commercial entertainer filled with comedy and action.The film’s screenplay and dialogues are penned by Venkatt Ragavan. Technical contributions include cinematography by Gopi Amarnath and editing by Roger. Purushan is presented by Khushbu Sundar under the Avni Cinemax banner. Details about the rest of the cast are yet to be announced.

Purushan continues a long-standing collaboration between the core team. Vishal, Sundar C, and Hip Hop Tamizha previously worked together on Aambala (2015) and Action (2019). This film marks the fourth collaboration between Vishal and Sundar C, and the fifth between Vishal and the composer. For Hip Hop Tamizha and Sundar C, Purushan follows Mookuthi Amman 2, making it their seventh project together. Tamannaah and Vishal worked together in Sundar C's Action, the actress also worked on the director's Aranmanai 4.
