Meghan Markle Makes Acting Comeback After 8 Years With Close Personal Friends - Report

Markle has a role in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming film Close Personal Friends. According to a report by a media portal, the exact nature of her role remains unclear, this marks the Duchess of Sussex’s first acting project since she announced her departure from Suits eight years ago. Markle exited the popular USA Network show in November 2017 and married Britain’s Prince Harry in 2018.

Meghan Spotted on Set

According to Deadline report, Markle was seen on set in Pasadena, with speculation suggesting that she might be playing herself in the film. Close Personal Friends features a star-studded cast, including Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding. Whereas Amazon has declined to comment on the story.

Suits Creator Once Considered Markle Cameo

Suits L.A. and Markle’s Other Projects

Korsh’s spinoff, Suits L.A., aired on NBC but was not a reboot or revival of the original series. Instead, it introduced new characters in a different setting, similar to the CSI and NCIS franchises. The show lasted only one season before being canceled, making a Markle cameo unlikely from the start.Markle’s most recent on-screen venture was the Netflix cooking series With Love, Meghan, whose second season struggled to find a large audience.

Renewed Netflix Deal

In August, Markle and Prince Harry’s production company, Archewell Productions, signed a multi-year, first-look deal with Netflix. Their earlier partnership with the streaming platform had been under an overall agreement.
