A day after Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor Satish Shah's death in Mumbai, his manager and neighbour recalled their frantic efforts to revive him after he suddenly collapsed during lunchtime. The 74-year-old
actor was declared dead at the hospital on October 25; his last rites were held at a Mumbai crematorium on Sunday, October 26. Co-stars from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Rajesh Kumar, and other Bollywood celebs such as David Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Kunal Kohli, Johnny Lever, and Naseeruddin Shah, among others, also attended.
Satish Shah's manager and neighbour recall efforts to revive him
Ramesh Kadatala, Satish Shah’s manager, told ANI how they took the veteran actor to the hospital after he collapsed at home. He said, "It was around lunchtime, around 2 pm. He was eating lunch and collapsed after having one bite. The ambulance arrived after half an hour, and we took him to the hospital, and he was declared dead."
His neighbour Anup Kothekar added, "I was with them. As soon as I got a call from Ramesh ji, I ran to Satish Kaka's house and immediately tried to help him. We kept trying to revive him. He was such a wonderful person; he was already a wonderful performer. Whoever was called in to help him, everyone left their work and rushed away to help Satish kaka. His last acting role was in the web series United Kacche for Zee5 in 2023.
