If
Jin weren't a BTS member, he'd have been an actor. This fact isn't unknown to ARMYs. Jin doesn't address himself as "Worldwide Handsome" for nothing. He has a face that could give any actor a run for money. We often see his potential in the music videos he appears in. But, now, if given a chance, would the eldest member of the boy band go back to pursuing his dream? Jin, who's currently busy with his bandmates RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook embarking on the world tour after the successful release of BTS' comeback new album, ARIRANG, lives an actor's life in his mind. But his heart says something else.
Jin puts his acting dream behind BTS
During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jin, along with the other members, got candid about several things that are personal and about BTS as a whole. Jin stated his commitment to the group, even if it meant keeping his acting dreams on the backburner.
"I’ve always thought there’s no reason to continue if it’s not with the group. I guess a solo career is just not that important to me. If I did anything, it would be trying something different within the group when the fans are bored. I’m not interested in acting or anything like that," Jin said."My biggest dream has been to go on tour with BTS and meet as many fans as I can, from all over the world," the 33-year-old added.
Fans call him the force behind keeping BTS together
A fan translated Jin's words and posted on X (formerly Twitter), "He’s mentioned so many times that he has no interest in acting. He is just that satisfied and happy with where he is right now. I wish Jin nothing but happiness."Another ARMY added, "What I’ve noticed after the group’s solo activities is that Jin’s role played a huge part in keeping BTS and ARMYs together. He worked the hardest to fill up BTS’s empty hole while they were away. He is truly the member who loves the team the most."
Jin reacts to his 'worldwide handsome' looks
When asked about his handsome, good looks, Jin joked, "I do think I’m more good-looking than the other members. Even though everyone is very handsome, I should have at least one thing I’m best at in the group."While we saw why Jin's name was missing from the songwriting credits of all the tracks of ARIRANG, the BTS: The Return documentary on Netflix showed the reason was that he was solo touring, as RM said, "holding the fort" for BTS when the members were away finishing their mandatory military duties.
About his absence from ARIRANG's songwriting credits
In the same interview, Jin said scheduling conflicts made it the "best choice" at the time. He reacted, "I was still on my solo tour at the time. When I arrived at the studio, there were a hundred-something songs already made. So then I test recorded the best of them. And that took about seven to ten days. Once that was done, the whole process was over.""I was worried our fans would be bored while everyone was in the military, so there I was soothing the hearts of our fans. Meanwhile, all of the songs got made," Jin said. "I’m a little bummed, but there’s more to life than just the present – there’s the future. And I believe there will always be more opportunities. So I’m a little disappointed, but that was the best choice I could make at the time," he added.
