Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra have shared a close bond for decades. The choreographer-director and the celebrated fashion designer recently reunited at Farah’s home, they reminisced about their journey,
from film sets to Diwali parties, Farah also admitted that the two have had their fair share of disagreements over the years. Manish elaborated on those moments with a smile.
Manish on Farah as a Choreographer
In Farah Khan's latest vlog on her YouTube channel, when she asked Manish to say something about her, he agreed and began, “Farah, the choreographer and the director are two different people. Farah, the choreographer, is used to really comment, ‘Ye kya he? Aey ye kaise he?’ ‘Ye costume kaisa he?’”He recalled getting upset once and walking off the set during the shoot of Juhi Chawla’s song
Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. “She was like, ‘This grey kurta is not moving!’ I was like, ‘You are always commenting!’” he said.Manish also reminded Farah of another incident from the shoot of
Fevicol Se, starring Kareena Kapoor. Farah laughed and added, “I remember he got very angry with me and didn’t pick up my call for two days!”
How Farah Transforms as a Director
When asked what she is like as a director, Manish laughed and said, “Woh itni achchi ho jaati hai ki jo aap bolo ki achha aise karenge… you become another person!”Farah responded that directing genuinely makes her happiest, which is why she remains calm and positive on set.
