The film, which was released in 2014, made a whopping Rs 199.95 crore in India and Rs 397 crore at the global box office. Nine years later, the actors reunited for Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan in 2023. The spy thriller, backed by Yash Raj Films, shattered the box office records of their previous one. Co-starring John Abraham, the movie collected Rs 543.09 crore (India) and Rs 1,055 crore (worldwide).

In the same year, Deepika made a special appearance in Shah Rukh’s Jawan with director Atlee. Although a cameo appearance, the actress left an incredible impact with her performance. This film earned Rs 640.25 crore in the domestic arena, while it collected Rs 1,160 crore at the international box office.
