Rubina Dilaik On Hosting The Ward
During a candid chat with us, Rubina Dilaik opened up about hosting
The Ward. She said, “Hosting The Ward has been an incredibly emotional and fulfilling experience for me because motherhood is something that has transformed me completely, both personally and emotionally. As a new mother myself, I could genuinely understand the fears, excitement, anxiety, and emotional vulnerability that every woman on the show was experiencing. There were moments during filming where I completely forgot I was hosting because the conversations felt so real and intimate. I think what makes this show special is that it doesn’t romanticise motherhood unrealistically. It presents the journey in its rawest and most honest form, and that deeply resonated with me.”
When asked about managing personal and professional things since she is a mother of twin girls, the Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress said that it is challenging, but motherhood gives her strength. “Managing motherhood alongside work is definitely challenging, especially when you are raising twins because every day comes with a completely new routine and responsibility. There are moments when you feel physically exhausted and emotionally overwhelmed, but at the same time, motherhood gives you a different kind of strength and perspective. I’ve realised that balance doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly. Some days I give more time to work, and some days my daughters become my entire world. What truly helps me is the support of my family, especially Abhinav, and also learning to let go of the guilt that many working mothers silently carry.”
Advice To Pregnant Women
During the shoot, Rubina Dilaik gave valuable advice to the pregnant women of The Ward. She said, “One thing I constantly told all the women on the show was to trust themselves and stop comparing their journeys with others. Pregnancy is deeply personal, and every woman experiences it differently emotionally, mentally, and physically. I encouraged them to openly express their fears and emotions instead of suppressing them because society often expects women to look happy and glowing all the time during pregnancy. I also reminded them that asking for emotional support is not weakness. I believe emotional wellbeing during pregnancy is just as important as physical health, and women should feel safe talking about their struggles without judgement." Rubina Dilaik is currently in Cape Town for the shooting of
Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. She is doing the Rohit Shetty-hosted show as a challenger.
