In a text thread dated January 5, 2024, Justin Baldoni was chatting with Rainn Wilson, Travis Van Winkle, Andy Grammer and producer Jamey Heath when Wilson asked, “Any update, Brothers?”

Baldoni then told the group he had gone through “one of the hardest nights of my life,” explaining that he had a tense discussion with Blake Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds. According to Baldoni’s message, “Ryan was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me.” He went on to say that he and Heath (Jamey Heath) were accused of not being the people they presented themselves to be. He added that they were told their podcast made others feel unsafe.Baldoni continued, saying that words like “creepy” and “abuse” were brought up while describing his behaviour. He wrote that he was given specific lines to apologise with, but struggled emotionally to respond because he was still processing what was happening.
