JioHotstar has now announced a refreshed subscription structure for new users and the biggest change is simple: monthly plans are finally here, starting from Rs 79 per month. JioHotstar says the update
is meant to make subscriptions more flexible, especially as more people are watching content on bigger screens. The new pricing kicks in from January 28, 2026, and it sits alongside the existing quarterly and annual options. Here's everything you need to know about the new JioHotstar subscription plans.JioHotstar Monthly Plans: What’s NewJioHotstar will continue with three tiers: Mobile, Super and Premium. The Mobile and Super tiers remain ad-supported, which means you’ll still see ads while streaming movies or shows. The new entry-level option is the Mobile monthly plan at Rs 79, designed for viewers who mostly stream on their phone and don’t necessarily care about big-screen playback.Mobile Plan Comes With A CatchHere’s the one detail that might annoy some users: the Mobile plan doesn’t include Hollywood content in the base subscription. If you want Hollywood titles, JioHotstar is offering it as an add-on priced at Rs 49 per month. This add-on can also be bundled into longer packs, with quarterly and annual pricing set at Rs 129 and Rs 399, respectively.-Super PlanThe Super plan starts at Rs 149 per month and allows streaming on two devices at the same time. It also supports 1080p Full HD resolution and works across mobile, web, and supported living room devices. The quarterly Super plan is priced at Rs 349, while the annual plan goes up to Rs 1,099 starting January 28.-Premium PlanThe Premium tier is clearly aimed at people who watch on large screens and share accounts at home. It costs Rs 299 per month, while the quarterly and yearly plans are Rs 699 and Rs 2,199, respectively. It supports streaming on up to four devices simultaneously, with 4K resolution and Dolby Vision. Most content is ad-free here, except live sports and live events, which will still carry ads. When Do These New Plans Go Live? All monthly packs (and revised quarterly/annual pricing for some tiers) will take effect from January 28, 2026. So if you’ve been thinking of switching your plan or locking in a longer pack, now’s a good time to check what you’re currently paying, before the new structure becomes the default.JioHotstar Subscription Plans: Old vs New (From Jan 28, 2026)
