Singh's Dhurandhar 2 has been unstoppable at the box office! Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller is inching closer to the Rs 1,700 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Amid this, Ranvir Shorey has revealed whether Dhurandhar 2's success can impact how new films will be made. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, the Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa actor stated that the film business works on repeating success. Apart from this, the actor discussed his upcoming movie, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2.

Ranvir Shorey on Dhurandhar 2 success, film business

When Ranvir was asked if Dhurandhar 2's blockbuster success can influence how directors/ producers make new films, the actor admitted, "Of course, this business works like this. This business works on repeating success. That's the flaw."

The actor further opined, "That is the problem with this business: they think if something is successful, you have to keep making that again and again, and you will be successful. It doesn't work like that. That is an ongoing thing, something which one has been seeing for the last 30-35 years I've been working."

Ranvir Shorey on Khosla Ka Ghosla 2

In the same conversation, Ranvir admitted there's a pressure to live up to people's expectations with Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. 20 years after Khosla Ka Ghosla! released, its sequel is being made. Speaking about the film, Ranvir said that the expectations are high for the second part. Calling the original a 'cult film', he added everyone, including the star cast, is excited about the sequel.Having said that, Ranvir confessed that the pressure is 'quite unnerving'. "I am not used to this kind of pressure. I mostly work in small films and medium films, so this kind of pressure I am not used to. But one can only hope for the best," he added.

Ranvir Shorey's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranvir was recently seen in Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa. Written and directed by Rajat Kapoor, the whodunit thriller premiered on ZEE5 on April 10. Co-starring Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, Waluscha De Sousa, Saurabh Shukla, the movie opened to positive reviews by critics. It has been produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Mithya Talkies.

As far as Dhurandhar 2 is concerned, the movie continues to enjoy a successful run at the box office. It was theatrically released on March 19. The movie remain unfazed by its clash with Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
