Before
fancy fitness challenges became trends, Salman Khan served as an inspiration to millions to chase health and overall physical well-being. Being the pioneer of fitness in the Hindi film industry, Bollywood’s beloved bhaijaan gives good competition to his younger contemporaries. In an interview with Zoom, Salman’s longtime trainer, Rakkesh R Uddiyar, revealed his secret to a healthy lifestyle. He praised the superstar for his discipline and commitment towards his routine, even after a long and exhausting day on set. Besides Salman, Rakkesh trained Ram Charan for his upcoming sports drama Peddi.
Salman Khan's fitness secret
Talking to Zoom, Rakkesh said, “Salman Khan’s secret is discipline, dedication, and determination. This has been his routine for years. Maine Pyar Kiya is 1989 release and it has been over 30 years. Ab kya 30 saalon mein kisiki body nahi banti? People say all sorts of nonsense about him. You also have to see that age is also a factor. Look at his discipline. Uss bande ko khana nahi milega, no matter how exhausted he is, Salman Khan ke muh pe aap tension nahi dekhoge.”
Salman Khan's fitness routine
He further added, “Salman ek time pe 10 exercise lega and his minimum range of repetition per set is 20. Agar usne ek exercise ke 2 se 3 sets bhi kiye, toh bhi it is too much. Uske competition mein koi nahi aata. I challenge the younger actors to come and do bench press with Salman, I am sure, nobody would be able to do it. He is very strong.” In the same interview,
Rakkesh mentioned, “Like Salman Khan,
Ram Charan is also very strong. He had an injury on Peddi’s set and despite that, he resumed work immediately. You need to be stronger mentally than physically for this. I believe a lot of strength comes from his spirituality.” The celebrity fitness coach added, “Ram Charan has always been on the lean side. He is like the second Salman Khan. Do abs upar rehte hai, chest in very good shape. Thoda out of shape chale jate hai toh cardio kar lete hai (When they go out of shape, they bounce back with cardio). Charan is as good as Salman bhai. He is a replica. Dono subah uthte hi cardio karte hai (Both do cardio after waking up in the morning).”
Salman Khan's upcoming movie
Workwise, Salman is awaiting the release of
Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace co-starring Chitrangda Singh. It was previously titled
