Bangla’s paid previews will begin at 9 PM today, leading to its official release in theatres tomorrow (April 17). Helmed by Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar leads the film with Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi and others. The horror comedy marks the reunion of the original Hera Pheri cast after years. The advance bookings report seems promising. According to early estimates, Bhooth Bangla will be taking a positive start at the box office on Friday. The data for paid previews will be disclosed shortly by the production house.

Bhooth Bangla showed incredible growth at the ticket window. The report indicated that the horror comedy sold 35,116 tickets for the first day. The film has secured 5291 shows across India. Without blocked seats,
Bhooth Bangla has already earned Rs 93.35 lakh. With blocked seats, the amount goes up to Rs 2.57 crore.
Bhooth Bangla's budget and cast fees revealed

Bhooth Bangla is mounted on a lavish budget of Rs 120 crore. According to various reports, Akshay has taken a significant 28.5% pay cut for the film. Still the highest-paid cast member, he has reportedly taken Rs 50 crore as a fee along with a 70 per cent share in profits as co-producer.
Tabu also took a pay cut of 16 per cent. Reportedly, she charged Rs 2.5 crore. Wamiqa Gabbi charged Rs 3 crore, whereas Paresh Rawal got Rs 2 crore. Jisshu Sengupta received Rs 1 crore and Rajpal Yadav got anywhere between Rs 1-1.5 crore.

The Central Board of Film Certification (
CBFC) granted the film a U/A 16+ certificate. The CBFC's Examining Committee reportedly flagged several issues in the film and ordered a specific set of changes. In addition to the changes suggested by the censor board, the makers of
Bhooth Bangla volunteered to reduce its runtime by 10 minutes. The horror comedy runs for 2 hours and 53 minutes.

Bhooth Bangla follows the story of Arjun (
Akshay Kumar), who visits his ancestral bungalow in Mangalpur. Despite being warned not to stay there, he remains adamant about his decision. He wants to get married to his ladylove (Wamiqa Gabbi). She is intrigued by the village’s traditions, beliefs and standard of living. However, the curse of Vadhusur will not let them tie the knot. Apart from Akshay, the film also stars Tabu, the late Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar and Wamiqa Gabbi.
