Ranveer
Singh's spy thriller, Dhurandhar, was unstoppable at the box office and now has taken over the OTT space as well. The film managed to keep the momentum alive and is now one of the top binge suggestions on Netflix. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller was released on December 5, 2025, and within three weeks of its release, it crossed the Rs 500 crore mark. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Aditya, and Arjun Rampal. All the songs of the film became chartbusters and are still high on trends. The film wrapped up its phenomenal theatrical run, but couldn't break the record of Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, directed by Atlee.
Dhurandhar vs Jawan: Final Box Office Collection
As
Dhurandhar releases on OTT, the box office run is almost over; nevertheless, the film ends as Hindi cinema's biggest grosser, both in India and worldwide, with a closing worldwide gross of over Rs 1200 crore. The movie is also the first Hindi film to gross Rs 1000 crore in India alone. However, there is one major Bollywood record that
Dhurandhar will not be able to break. Amongst post-COVID Bollywood films, Shah Rukh Khan's
Jawan holds the record for the most tickets sold, which comes to approximately 3.9 crore across all versions combined.
Dhurandhar, on the other hand, recorded 3.55 crore all-India footfalls.
Aditya Dhar's directorial lag behind because it didn't have the benefit of dubbed versions. The
Ranveer Singh-starrer released only in its Hindi version, whereas Shah Rukh-led film was dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
