Suniel Shetty is proud of his son, Ahan Shetty, not just because he is taking the legacy forward but for realising his responsible film choices. The Shetty Jr is playing one of the leads in the upcoming
Border 2. Coincidentally, Suniel featured in JP Dutta’s iconic Border in 1997. Ahead of the spiritual sequel’s release, the doting father is cheering for his son and his energy is infectious. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Suniel opened up about Ahan and how, despite their charismatic genes, they’re different individuals. The veteran actor lauded his son for being calmer and humbler than him.
Suniel Shetty reveals why Ahan Shetty is called 'Zen Boy' at home
Suniel told us, “He's a natural, absolute natural. He has a great voice of a great personality. He chooses his scripts and films very wisely. I'm impulsive, a little too emotional and he's a better looker for sure. He is a far humbler and a calmer person than I am. We call him the Zen Boy at home. That's his mindset. He's very calm, he doesn't panic. But I guess it's because he's single right now. Once he becomes a father, things will change (laughs). Different emotions and everything changes in life when you settle and have children.”
Suniel Shetty recalls Ahan losing films due to Border 2
In a previous interview with
Zoom, Suniel revealed that Ahan lost opportunities because he signed Border 2. The actor shared, “He was removed from films and then blamed. Rumours were spread that he comes with expensive bodyguards, and paid articles were published.” He added, “I’ve never spoken about this before, this is the first time. Stories were made up because Ahan wanted to do Border, while others wanted their own films to be made. Everything was manipulated. If this escalates further, I will hold a press conference and expose everyone. Jinki dhajjiyan udani hai, uda dunga.”
