The Portal of Force Trailer: Disha Patani Makes Hollywood Debut Alongside Kevin Spacey, Dolph Lundgren - Watch

star Disha Patani is making her international debut with The Portal of Force, in which she plays a key character in the fantasy action film. The trailer of the film, directed by Kevin Spacey, is now out and it features the actress's action avatar in the first film of the Statiguards vs. Holiguards franchise. Her co-stars in the feature film include Spacey, Dolph Lundgren, Tyrese Gibson, Brianna Hildebrand and Eric Roberts. The film is co-written by Sergey Torchilin and Lado Okhotnikov. Disha Patani in The Portal of Force

Lado Okhotnikov premiered the trailer on YouTube and it gives fans the first look at her character Jessica. She is named as the chosen one who bridges the two rival factions, the Holiguards and the Statiguards, after Jessica discovers she is the daughter of two enemy leaders. Besides Disha as Jessica, Okhotnikov plays Master Dao, the leader of the Holiguards; Spacey plays the role of Adel; Lundgren is Monk; Roberts is Ensis; and Gibson is Brute. Sonia Couling, Brianna Hildebrand, Harry Goodwins, and Swen Temmel are also part of the cast.

Set against the backdrop of a near-future world fractured by hidden supernatural forces, the two warrior sides wage a secret war to control the fate of humanity. The franchise film will also feature a Statiguard strategist getting reading to attack Paris with a nuclear device and an army of mind-controlled citizens, with an ancient force known as the Prime. The film is expected to make its streaming debut later this year. This is Spacey's first feature film in more than 20 years as director. Earlier this year, he starred in the Spanish film Torrente for President. Disha Patani on The Portal of Force According to Pinkvilla, Disha said her Hollywood debut was both thrilling and terrifying but working with an experienced, diverse cast was an education in itself. The actress went on to say that storytelling transcends language and geography and she loved playing Jessica in the film. "I’ve always loved action, and to bring what I've learned on the home turf to a global platform feels incredibly empowering," she concluded.

Disha Patani's upcoming projects

Earlier this year, Disha made a cameo in Vishal Bhardwaj's O'Romeo. She also has the franchise films Welcome to the Jungle and Awarapan 2 lined up. Led by Akshay Kumar, Welcome to the Jungle is slated to release in June and the Awarapan sequel starring Emraan Hashmi will be out in August 2026.
