Asha Bhosle's passing has left the entire nation saddened. The veteran singer passed away at the age of 92 on April 12. She died due to multiple organ failure at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Several Bollywood celebrities paid their last respects to the late singer at her Mumbai residence today. Shreya Ghoshal, too, paid a moving tribute to Asha Tai. At her London concert, Shreya crooned the legendary singer's iconic songs, while Asha Tai's images were displayed on large screens.

On April 12, Shreya penned an emotional note, mourning the loss of the legendary singer. Sharing Asha ji's photos on her IG handle, the singer wrote, "Today, we lost a voice that defined generations… a spirit that redefined music itself.Asha Bhosle ji wasn’t just legendary, she was limitless. I grew up listening to her, learning from her, being in awe of her effortless versatility…"Ghoshal added thatAsha ji could make every note feel alive and every emotion feel personal. She mentioned the late singer sang playful melodies, deepest ghazals and other songs in Marathi, Bengali and more languages. "For so many of us, she wasn’t just an inspiration… she was a part of our musical soul."
On a parting note, Shreya expressed that she feels incredibly blessed to have witnessed the legendary singer's 'greatness' in her lifetime. She also stated that Asha Tai's voice will echo through time, through every artist she inspired and through every heart she touched.
