might have just released the final chapter in his mega-hit crime-thriller franchise, Drishyam 3, but we are not done with the story as yet. After turning to Bollywood with Ajay Devgn getting into the skin of Georgekutty as Vijay Salgaonkar in the Hindi remake, the movie's Indonesian adaptation has also sped up production. Infact, for fans, the movie crossing borders will ensure its journey around the world continues even in Indonesia remake titled Ayah, Aku Mau Cerita… (Dad, I Want to Tell You…). Interestingly, the Falcon Pictures production will be the first Indonesian adaptation of a Malayalam film.

Cast of Indonesian remake
The film stars the real-life married couple, Vino G. Bastian and Marsha Timothy, in opposing and emotionally charged roles. Miracle in Cell No. 7 star Bastian plays a loving father who will do anything to protect his family after a dangerous incident puts their lives in danger. This role originally belonged to Mohanlal, who also reprised it.Timothy, who is internationally known for Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts, plays the determined policeman who investigates him. Their casting has already created a buzz, with audiences eager to see the real-life couple go head-to-head on screen as rivals. It's the character first played in Malayalam by Asha Sharath and Tabu in Hindi.Supporting cast members include Niken Anjani, Ziva Magnolya, Gunawan and Pritt Timothy.

The adaptation is scripted and directed by Danial Rifki, who previously directed Dendam Malam Kelam, an Indonesian remake of the Spanish thriller El Cuerpo. Release date of Indonesian adaptation
Ayah, Aku Mau Cerita… has already wrapped production, with the film now gearing for its theatrical debut on August 20. This release comes after the arrival of Drishyam 3 in cinemas.
