Crime Branch said actor Aayush Sharma received a threat email via Proton Mail from a sender claiming Lawrence Bishnoi gang links, while Ranveer Singh got a threatening WhatsApp voice note sent using a VPN. Police said identities were concealed in both cases. Days after gunshots were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence in Juhu, and actor Ranveer Singh received a threat accompanied by a demand for several crores, Aayush received the threat via email.

Aayush, who is married to Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan, was sent the message via email, reportedly from someone claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the wake of multiple celebrities receiving death threats and security scares, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written to CM Devendra Fadnavis, seeking an urgent appointment to discuss the matter. “The prevailing environment of fear is beginning to affect shooting schedules, production planning, and overall morale within the industry,” FWICE wrote, mentioning that uncertainty is now hindering routine functioning across sets and studios. It added, “We firmly believe that under your able leadership and guidance, effective measures can be undertaken to address these concerns promptly and decisively,” seeking an opportunity to discuss the matter in detail and urge the government's intervention to safeguard the entertainment fraternity.
Ranveer Singh Received Threat Via Voice Note
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have significantly enhanced security at their Mumbai residence following what is being described as a targeted extortion attempt. As per reports, Ranveer allegedly received a threatening voice note demanding a sum of around Rs 10 crore. Investigators are currently probing possible links between the threat and the activities of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has in recent months been associated with threats to several high-profile entertainment figures.
