While this is a 71% drop from its massive debut of 641,000 units, ARIRANG has the most weeks at no 1 among BTS’ seven chart-topping albums. For those unversed, their previous six releases each stayed on top for just one week. Meanwhile, ARIRANG remains the biggest opening week of 2026 so far. It is competing with new albums by Ye (formerly Kanye West), Melanie Martinez and Yeat, which have debuted in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200 chart.

ARMYs took to X to celebrate the new milestone. "BTS is creating history. Everyone bow down to the legends," wrote a user. Another tweeted, "BTS breaking records I know nothing about. Talk about influence! This is your industry, boys." A comment read, "ARIRANG' is for the books. BTS coming back from a 4yrs hiatus/ms, stronger than ever. Congratulations BTS!"
