Kapoor's late ex-husband and business tycoon Sunjay Kapur's estate dispute is continuing to make headlines. The legal battle between the Kapur family started when Karisma Kapoor's children moved to Delhi High Court and alleged that their father's widow, Priya Sachdev Kapur, forged his will. The row recently spilled into the RK Family trust, where Priya, both a trustee and beneficiary, served a notice removing Sunjay's mom Rani Kapur as trustee from March 25. Now, in a recent conversation with Times Now, Sunjay Kapur's mother Rani opened up about Priya's decision and said that it remains unacceptable for him.

During a recent interaction with Times Now Senior reporter Deepankar Malviya, Sunjay Kapur's mother Rani Kapur said, "First I lost my son and then she comes and wants to take over what my husband and I built. The house in Delhi, we were living in Bombay and moved to Delhi where we built Sona Comstar. We moved there, and built the house there and coming back and forth after the company started and everything was going fine till Sunjay decided to marry this girl (Priya Sachdev Kapur). He was already married twice to a good family girls and he had children from second marriage. How can you do this to anybody?' You are also married had a child - find somebody who has got nothing. I think it's very wrong what she has done. I still didn't say anything and accepted that my son was happy - it's okay."
Rani further added, "The moment he passed away, she thinks he owns the whole thing that my husband built and my husband and the house is built by me. She comes into his life and thinks he owns everything and everything belongs to her, which I'm not going to accept."
Rani Kapur on Priya removing Rani Kapur from RK Family Trust
Rani Kapur claimed that the RK Family Trust was set up to steal family assets and asked the court to cancel it. When asked about Priya's move to remove her from the Trust, Rani responded, "I think legally it's RK Trust is in my name. She has no reason to throw me out. I have all the trust. She's the one who's come into my family. And um I was always there. And she just can't come and claim everything which is very wrong. And I think even the law will not agree with her."

Sunjay’s estate, estimated at around Rs 30,000 crore, has turned into the focus of an intense legal dispute involving his widow Priya Sachdev Kapur, his children Samaira and Kiaan from his marriage to Karisma Kapoor, and his mother Rani Kapur.A will that says Priya will get all of his money is at the center of the fight. His children have strongly denied this claim and have gone to the Delhi High Court to argue that the document looks suspicious and could have been forged.
