a two-year gap, Avatar: The Last Airbender is returning for a grander second season that takes viewers into the mysterious city of Ba Sing Se and introduces fan-favourite character Toph Beifong (Miyako). Netflix revealed that Avatar: The Last Airbender will be back on June 25. The eight-part live-action series also shared a behind-the-scenes video in which Ba Sing Se and Toph are highlighted. The series is set to end with Season 3, just like the animated series. Both the second and third seasons were filmed consecutively. The first look at
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 was shared by Netflix on social media. In round two, Aang (Gordon Cormier) and his friends Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley) journey farther into the Earth Kingdom. Their battle against the scary Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim) becomes more perilous and the group enters the mysterious city of Ba Sing Se. Viewers get their first look at the capital city in a new featurette that shows the level of detail in the outdoor set.
The cast and crew promise that the live-action adaptation levels up this season. Executive producer and writer Christine Boylan reveals that all of the buildings on the Ba Sing Se set are real. The BTS video also depicts Miyako as Toph Beifong right in the middle of some exciting action. The actress was chosen from 6,000 hopefuls to play the blind earthbending master. Toph and Aang have a rocky start to their relationship and the action sequences are already shaping up to be quite dynamic.

Besides the main trio, the Netflix series features Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, and Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula. The new season follows Aang turning to earthbending after mastering waterbending in the first instalment.
Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani are set to lead the show as executive producers after showrunner Albert Kim stepped down. Michael Goi directed the first two episodes of Season 2, while Raisiani directed episodes three and four. Roseanne Liang has directed episodes five and six, while Jet Wilkinson directed the final two episodes. Raisani also teased that the new season will see the actors and characters grow and figure out who they are.
