While the film was expected to have a good opening as the advance booking was good, it has surpassed expectations. The film had a wide release despite the fact that Tere Ishk Mein is also doing well in theatres at the moment. As the film rules the Indian box office, Singh has received a special congratulations from the Hollywood industry.

Hollywood actor Terry Crews, popularly known for joined the growing list of celebrities appreciating the film. When he met with Ranveer at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday, December 7, he made sure to congratulate the Bollywood star on his latest release. Taking to his Instagram account, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor shared a photo of himself and Ranveer playfully posing as if they were about to fight. Both had bright smiles. While the Bollywood actor wore a pink jacket paired with off-white trousers and funky sunglasses, Terry opted for the classic white T-shirt and black pants combo, with a pair of uber-cool glasses.
