What was the controversy?
Palak Sindhwani, who portrayed Sonu Bhide for five years, exited
TMKOC in 2024. Her departure became controversial after she was accused of breaching her exclusivity contract, leading to a legal dispute. Palak later alleged “mental harassment, non-payment,” and claimed the makers threatened to delete her social media and block her brand partnerships. She said attitudes shifted sharply when she questioned the accusations against her.Asit Kumarr Modi had strongly refuted her claims at the time, suggesting that her statements reflected a lack of maturity and reliability. The matter remained tense for months, with both sides maintaining contrasting narratives. With today’s announcement, the conflict appears to have been put to rest. The resolution marks a fresh start for Palak Sindhwani, who continues to pursue new projects, and reinforces Neela Film Productions’ intention to move forward on a positive and professional note.
