Directed by the celebrated duo Raj & DK, known for The Family Man and Farzi, this film already had fans buzzing. While the film sounds promising, there is an interesting new update that will add to the excitement.

Fresh Update On Salman Khan's Superhero Film

The biggest news around this project right now is the involvement of Weta FX. This is the same studio behind the jaw-dropping visual effects in The Avengers, The Batman, and The Last Of Us. Pre-production is already well underway with focus on cutting-edge visual effects. Filming is expected to begin around October or November 2026. The story reportedly follows an ageing superhero who gets pulled back into action by events beyond his control.The film is being produced by Atul Agnihotri, with Mythri Movie Makers in discussions to come on board as a studio partner. This will mark the very first collaboration between Salman and Raj & DK.

Is Kareena Kapoor Playing The Female Lead?

The casting buzz around this film is just as exciting as the VFX news. Kareena Kapoor Khan has emerged as the front-runner for the female lead, with reports suggesting she is in advanced talks, though there has been no official confirmation from the makers or the actress yet.Salman Khan reportedly personally called Kareena to discuss the project and she has verbally expressed her interest in being part of the film. She has not signed on the dotted line yet, but things appear to be moving in a positive direction.If Kareena signs on, it would reunite her with Salman Khan after 11 years. The two were last seen together in the 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Earlier, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was rumoured for the role, but Kareena now seems to be the clear frontrunner.

Before the superhero film arrives, Salman will be seen in Apoorva Lakhia's Maatrubhumi, starring alongside Chitrangada Singh.After that comes SVC63. Salman Khan and Nayanthara began filming for SVC63 in Mumbai on April 24, 2026. The film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally, produced by Dil Raju, and is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on Eid 2027.The makers of SVC63 are currently in discussions to finalise the film's main antagonist, with Fahadh Faasil and Akshaye Khanna both being seriously considered for the villain's role.
