As
we approach Spider-Man: Brand New Day's release date on July 31, 2026, curiosity among fans is soaring. That's because the latest installment in Marvel's Spidey franchise will see (as the title goes) a brand new day and life for Tom Holland's Peter Parker following the events of the previous Spider-Man: No Way Home. While Peter and his lady love MJ, will reunite, it won't be the way MCU fandom would want. Infact Sony's sneak peek at new film footage from Spider-Man 4 at CinemaCon showed MJ's new relationship, given how she and the entire world have forgotten about the existence of Peter.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day's sneak-peek at CinemaCon
At the CinemaCon 2026, Sony screened an exclusive footage from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. As per media reports and those who watched it, state that the scenes focused on how the impact of the memory-wiping spell by Doctor Strange in No Way Home impact the future of Peter Parker. The web-slinging superhero now has to navigate the world where his identity has been erased, and above all, where his girlfriend MJ and best friend Ned no longer know he is Spider-Man. Adding to the emotional turmoil for Peter is a new man in MJ's life.
About the exclusive footage
Media reports state the footage shows Peter following Ned to a college party. He discovers that Ned has built a Spider-Tracker app that enables him to locate the web-slinger. The footage then shows MJ arriving at the party and bumping into Peter, who introduces himself as Maynard. He clearly avoids revealing his true identity.
