About Raaka
Prior to the announcement, details about Raaka were tightly guarded. Last year, a teaser video hinted at the project’s scale, showing producer Kalanithi Maran travelling with Arjun and Atlee to Los Angeles to consult with VFX and animation experts. VFX supervisors, previously associated with Iron Man 2 and Transformers, called the script “unlike anything I’ve ever read,” suggesting a visually ambitious and technically complex film. Apart from Deepika Padukone. Rumours suggest Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna have joined the film, while comedian Yogi Babu is also part of the cast.
Raaka is said to be one of the biggest projects in Arjun’s career. Reports indicate that he has secured a record-breaking Rs 175 crore salary, including a 15% backend profit stake, positioning him as one of the highest-paid actors in India. Director Atlee is also reportedly receiving Rs 100 crore.
