Along with that, the makers revealed that Shakti Shalini would hit the silver screen on December 24, 2026. It was all set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's King at the box office. However, there seems to be a change in plan. According to a publication, the makers of Aneet's movie are reportedly eyeing a January 2027 release. Here's all you need to know about it.

Shakti Shalini to release in January 2027?

According to Mid-Day, Aneet's Shakti Shalini is now reportedly entering the final leg of production. While the ongoing schedule might continue in May, the makers are apparently planning to wrap the principal photography by the end of this month. And later, they might shift focus to VFX and post production work. Their idea is reportedly to finish the film properly and later spend enough time on the VFX.

"If everything goes as planned, they’re looking at a January 2027 release," a source told the publication. It further revealed that the makers apparently considering to release Shakti Shalini in the first half of January 2027. However, a final call might be taken after Cocktail 2 will be released. It stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.Buzz is that Vishal Jethwa might be seen with Aneet in Maddock Films production. If it turns out to be true, the movie will mark his reunion with the actress after their last film Salaam Venky. That said, an official confirmation is awaited from the actor and team Shakti Shalini.

When Ayushmann Khurrana lauded Aneet Padda

Earlier, in an interview with Zoom, Ayushmann Khurrana praised Aneet for taking up performance-oriented role in a film like Shakti Shalini after her successful film Saiyaara. The actor was happy about the fact she was a part of the horror comedy universe. He was excited about Aneet was going to do after the blockbuster success of her romantic musical. "I would love to cross paths with her in the universe," he said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aneet was last seen in Mohit Suri's Saiyaara. The actress starred opposite Ahaan Panday in the film, which worked wonders at the box office. She has again teamed up with Ahaan and Mohit for a new film. More details about their new project are awaited.
