Aftab Shivdasani on casting couch in Bollywood
In an interview with Zoom, Aftab revealed if he had any inappropriate experiences in his career. He shared, "No, I never went through a casting couch experience. To that extent, I may have had people making passes at me. But when you see a girl or guy you desire... men go through it as well; it's not new. But I've had people making passes at me, but not to the extent that I couldn't take care of it. It wasn't said in so many words, but I mean, you're smart enough [to understand]. And those people are still around, so it's really funny."

He added, "But having said that, one would just try to navigate himself or herself through what his or her available options are. And luckily for me, Ramu ji kept on working with me, Boney ji worked with me, Ramesh Taurani ji worked with me, Rajeev Rai sir worked with me, Indu ji worked with me, and Feroz bhai worked with me, so I had a lot of films that were A-list. Nobody dared to take advantage of me in that respect. I wasn't doing B-grade films; I was only doing A-list films." Why Aftab doesn't belong to any camps
The Mast actor went on to say that he had remained a bit detached in his career, and it has worked so far for him. Aftab said, "I was never too overfamiliar with anybody because that's my personality. Unless I really like the person, then I'll express myself. I've always maintained a very respectful distance, which is why I don't have friends or enemies in this industry. Enemies, I don't know. I didn't have an agenda. I didn't have a strategy. I didn't have a road map. I was just nice to everybody. I'm not the kind of person you'll find in everybody's house day in and day out. I need my space, and I respect other people's space as well. That's how I've always led my life." The first three films in the franchise were directed by Indra Kumar. Mastiii 4, which is releasing on November 21, is being directed by Milap Zaveri.
