Aamir rushed to the crematorium to stand by the Deols while they laid him to rest. On Thursday, Khan was at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025, in Goa, where he spoke about his bond with the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani star.

Talking about Dharmendra at IFFI 2025, Aamir revealed that he watched Sunny Deol’s upcoming film,
Lahore 1947 before passing away. The
Sitaare Zameen Par actor said, “In fact, Lahore 1947, the film we have made with Sunny, I had the good fortune of showing him the film. So he has seen the film. It’s not released yet, of course. But I am so glad he got to see the film. Because this was one of his favourite scripts.”

I’m missing it. And I was very close to him because in the last, I would say last one year, I must have met him about 7-8 times. Because I used to really enjoy his company so I used to go and sit with him. He was so gentle. No matter who he would meet, whether it’s a colleague or someone not from the industry, he would always be very warm and soft in meeting people. So, he was a wonderful person, he was a great actor, and it’s a great loss for all of us.”
