Amid the Rs 370 Biryani row, the Maharashtra Cyber Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Pranit and Himanshu. Now, a news agency has reported the Maharashtra Home Department has apparently directed a detailed investigation into the comedian's video content.

According to
IANS, the Maharashtra Home Department has reportedly ordered a detailed probe into all video content of Pranit. The probe has apparently been handed over to the Maharashtra Cyber Police. They will allegedly examine the stand-up comedian's show videos, online content and viral clips across all social media platforms.
A day ago, Pranit returned to Instagram after his official account was suspended. The former
Bigg Boss 19 contestant issued a detailed statement over his
Rs 370 Biryani controversy. The stand-up comedian apologised and stated that he deserved hate for not stopping Himanshu from making derogatory comments on his show. "Because that guy made derogatory remarks during the crowd work and everyone was laughing, I got carried away. It was a lapse in judgement, and it was my biggest mistake. I want to apologise for the video and derogatory remarks made in it. Whatever legal proceedings are going on, I have been cooperating with the authorities," he said in Hindi. Pranit further requested people to give him a second chance, and promised to become a better person.
What did Himanshu Jangra say amid controversy?
After receiving criticism for his remark on Pranit's show, Himanshu also apologised. In a video shared by Starvik Design, Jangra claimed that he improvised bits of the story he narrated on the show. "I improvised bits of it, seeing how the others were sharing their stories. I guess it was my bad luck but I accept that my words were not right and I would like to say sorry for that."For the unversed, on the stand-up comedian's show, Himanshu joked about expecting a s*xual favour from a girl after he spent Rs 370 for a biryani on their date.
