Mumbai’s Amboli police have registered a case against three individuals for allegedly cheating Hari Media Network Pvt Ltd of Rs 1.41 crore using forged documents and fake identities. The accused have been identified as Rishbh Sureka, a former senior manager at the company, Yash Nagarkoti, CEO of Hooray Movies, and Ashay Shastri. According to the police, Shastri forged the signature of actress Athiya Shetty and also created a fake email ID in actor Arshad Warsi’s name for the fraud.Hari Media Network, which operates out of Haryana and Mumbai, provides advertising and marketing services. Reports state that Sureka, who handled influencer branding and project coordination, allegedly used fake signatures and documents to siphon off Rs 52 lakh into
his personal account. The funds were reportedly transferred from brands such as Havells, Mahindra Lifespaces, Realme and Birla Estates.
The investigation revealed that in January 2024, Sureka contacted Athiya Shetty’s talent managers using the company’s official email ID and secured a Rs 40 lakh endorsement deal with Khanna Jewellers. Police claim that by forging Athiya’s signature, he collected Rs 15 lakh on her behalf but never passed the amount on to the actress. To extract additional funds, Sureka allegedly generated a fake Zomato invoice in the names of Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul. Investigations into the alleged fraud are currently ongoing.Meanwhile, Athiya and her husband, Indian cricketer KL Rahul, welcomed the New Year 2026 with their daughter Evaarah and shared a heartfelt family picture on social media. The couple welcomed their baby girl on March 24, 2025, two years after their wedding. Athiya and Rahul tied the knot on January 23, 2023, at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala.
