Creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan revealed that Gabriel Basso's hero Peter Sutherland will get a fitting send-off in the final season. The Night Agent to end with Season 4
The announcement was officially unveiled by the streaming service on its website. Creator Ryan revealed that he had been working on a way to say goodbye to Peter Sutherland on
The Night Agent since the show became a global hit in 2023. The
previous season ended with several unanswered questions so it's apt that the show will return to satisfy fans' curiosities. In a statement, Ryan shared that he was grateful to Netflix and Sony Pictures Television to return for a final season. He added, "We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget."
Since its debut in March 2023, fans have watched Peter Sutherland chase the bad guys around the world. All seasons of the spy series have debuted in the Global Top 10 and the first season was also part of Netflix's most-watched TV shows of all time.
The Night Agent has spent 27 weeks on the list and reached number one in 87 countries. Louis Herthum, Indian actor Suraj Sharma, Genesis Rodriguez, Amanda Warren, Ward Horton, Jennifer Morrison were all part of the last season.
